Pioneiro do techno, Sven Väth anuncia turnê com apresentação no Brasil em 2026

SVEN VÄTH ANNOUNCES “T.R.A.N.C.E 2026 – THE SECOND CYCLE” WORLD TOUR

The German DJ Sven Väth, one of the true pioneers of European techno, has announced the dates for his new international tour, “T.R.A.N.C.E 2026 – The Second Cycle,” scheduled for 2026. The project includes another extensive run through Latin America, with confirmed dates in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil.

A central figure in the history of electronic music, Väth played a decisive role not only in the development of techno, but also in the global consolidation of dance music from the 1990s onward.

In addition to promoting parties that helped spread the most authentic electronic sounds of the era, Väth founded the label Cocoon Recordings in the early 2000s, which would go on to become an international benchmark.

Through Cocoon, Väth released more than 300 tracks, featuring artists such as Adam Beyer, Anthony Rother, Legowelt, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, among other key names who contributed to the expansion of techno, minimal, and related subgenres. These releases were instrumental in consolidating and strengthening the emerging electronic scene at the time.

In 2004, Cocoon expanded into the physical realm with the opening of the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, Germany. With innovative design and one of the most advanced sound systems of its era, the club quickly built a loyal following.

Artists such as Richie Hawtin, DJ Hell, and Monika Kruse were regulars. Although the venue closed its doors in 2012, it remains a lasting aesthetic, cultural, and technical symbol of the evolution of contemporary techno.
