In a recent interview with DJ Music Magazine, Salma revealed that the inspiration behind the single comes from her deep admiration for iconic Black voices, especially from jazz, blues and even gospel. According to the artist, these references go beyond aesthetics and are deeply emotional.
“I’ve always been fascinated by Black voices — jazz, blues and even gospel. I wanted to use one of these icons and reflect that powerful feminine energy they transmit. ‘So Excited’ comes from that inspiration, combining emotion, groove and attitude.” e incluso gospel.
