In an exclusive interview with DJ Music Mag, Edjo Laoch and Dani Reoyo dive into the inspiration, collaboration, and message behind the E.P.

What inspired the creation of an E.P. that captures the rhythm of Spanish summer nights?Dani Reoyo: “The fusion of modern and traditional sounds was key to creating this E.P., capturing the essence of a Spanish summer night.”Edjo Laoch: “Great percussion, catchy piano riffs, and powerful basslines — they never fail. They always sound fresh and instantly make you move.”

How did this collaboration between the two of you come about?

Edjo Laoch: “Dani is a respected name in the North of Spain. We share a similar sound. One day we worked on a mashup that turned out amazing, and from there, we decided to start producing together.”

Dani Reoyo: “We’ve known each other for a while. I once asked him to do a mashup for one of my sets and realized we worked really well as a team.”

What message do you want to deliver with this release?

Dani Reoyo: “The core message is that music is timeless. These tracks blend house with Afro elements, resonating with both young partygoers and those who love dancing during sunset sessions.”

Edjo Laoch: “As Dani said, music is eternal. Some tracks, like these two, are universal. Our versions bring new life to them, adding stronger basslines and percussion that, honestly, if they don’t make you move — you must be dead! [laughs]”
