KUU, a supergroup composed of talented producers Riton and Alex Metric, along with Zimbabwean-American vocalist Shungudzo, has just released their latest track ‘Lose Control’ on the popular dance music platform. The trio's distinct styles and unique talents come together seamlessly to create a mesmerizing, infectious sound that's sure to get club-goers moving.
In this new release, KUU samples the iconic Sandy Rivera classic ‘Come Into My Room’ and gives it their own fresh, optimistic, Balearic-inspired twist. Riton, who frequently collaborates with top vocalists such as RAYE and Kah-Lo, has earned a GRAMMY nomination for his work. Meanwhile, Alex Metric, a GRAMMY award-winning producer, has worked with the likes of Dua Lipa, Silk City, and the late Avicii. Over lockdown, the trio honed their signature KUU sound, which Metric describes as a "through-line between acid house, pop, RnB, indie, and dance music". Their previous release ‘Dance With Me’ was named BBC Radio 1's Charlie Hedges’ Hottest Record in April 2022, and fans have been eagerly awaiting their next offering.
